Union Square Hall
Art Group at Union Square Hall returns!
The Union Square Community Hall Association is a non profit he group made up of residents in the local area interested in using the Union Square Community hall for community functions and events. The hall has undergone recent upgrades. Some of these upgrades include: updated electrical service, heat pump installation, holding tank, drilled well, exterior stairs and ramp, new kitchen roof, insulation and interior painting. This years' projects include a new kitchen and the addition of a interior washroom. Many of these renovations would not be possible without the support of municipal and provincial grants, volunteers from 143 Airfield Engineering Flight and finally the fundraising and volunteer efforts of hall members and other community members.

A group of Union Square residents have been working to breathe new life into the Union Square Hall. It now has insulation, and a heat source, so the space can be used in the winter. The most immediate goal is to put in plumbing and to carry on with other needed renovations. But with a teakettle and coffee maker on site, the committee is organizing groups and events to take place there. The hall is available to rent also, for anyone else who would like to run a workshop, and the price is very reasonable.
