Skating on the rink. Jaden Robar, the first skater on the rink, tries out the new ice with his grandfather Vincent.

The rink is flooded and waiting for freeze up (picture of "centre ice").

As of mid-November the liner has been put in the North River rink and tested with some water.  Next it needs to be slowly filled. As the weather turns cold enough to make ice there will be  winter skating in North River.

Construction began in the late summer and into the early autumn of 2009 on an outdoor rink in North River next to the community hall.

The rink will be 50 feet by 100 feet.  This picture shows the size of the rink after the ground work had been done.

The rink with its surrounding boards, all hand pained and sponsored by members of the community and local business.
