Welcome to the New Germany Area. A prominent feature of our neighbourhood is the LaHave River running through New Germany, a rural inland community located in Nova Scotia. 

New Germany is the centre of a group of communities in the upper part of Lunenburg County. There are approximately 30 communities who send their children to the rural high school in New Germany.

We invite you to explore our area through this site, checking out our history, our special events, our organizations and community groups.

These pages are maintained by the volunteer Community Access Program Committee of the New Germany Area Promotion Society. We currently manage three Programs, or "C@P" sites, located at New Germany Community Centre, the Parkdale Maplewood Community Museum and Guppy's Place Family Restaurant.

The Community Access Program is funded and supported by Industry Canada and the Nova Scotia Department of Economic and Rural Development. This program is designed to provide reasonable or free internet access and computer technology for individuals across Canada. Access is free, we do ask for donations, especially for printing, as consumables such as ink and paper do cost money. Please see our C@P page for details of resources.
